ABOUT US

We are a family run business that was first started by my father Peter, who had been cleaning windows since approx 1997. I (Mark Jones) was around 7 Years of age at the time. He did this Full Time with me helping out within school half term etc, as I got older I helped him on large jobs from time to time whilst working full time myself.

Most recently my father was working just Part time due to medical reasons and we spoke about pushing the business once more and investing in a new van and me leaving my Job to help him after he had his first heart attack. Unfortunately he passed away just days after leaving the hospital, I felt I must carry on and try and achieve what we spoke about.

Leaving my full time Store Manager job in early 2016 and starting from scratch I put everything I had into making the business work.

Business name?

My father was know as Pete Jones the window cleaner with no business name as such, I started up with P Jones & Son (sole trader) as this would of been the name we used and it felt only right to include Dad's name as he is the one the taught me the profession and the do's and the dont's, however most recently at the end of 2020 I made the hard decision to change the name to Forest Exterior Cleaning as we now offer many services other than just window cleaning and the old name no longer fitted the bill.

What's Changed?

I have invested in some of the leading Pure water reach and wash equipment along with Pressure mashing equipment and softwashing equipment and can now do a lot of property's that was not suitable or able to do before for e.g. windows above decking or above a sloped path, render cleaning, driveways and much more!

I now also take card payments as well as cash, and if your not home when I come I use GoCardless for direct debit payments.
